Lumina Open University Press is being established as a cornerstone of Lumina Open University's mission to genuinely open up humanities research. From its inception, the Press will take a leading role in shaping innovative, open access publishing approaches, designed to benefit Nigerian researchers and the global academic community alike.
Our commitment is to publish up to 25 high-quality books each year, with the majority offered through open access. This foundational principle means that high-quality research will be accessible to more people than ever before, regardless of their income or geographical location. We envision these open access books rapidly gaining traction, reaching millions of readers in countries and territories worldwide. Every publication released by Lumina Open University Press will undergo a rigorous peer-review process, ensuring the highest standards of academic excellence from day one.
